Darryl Seibel, Managing Partner, Communications


Prior to joining 776 Original Marketing, Darryl Seibel served as the U.S. Olympic Committee’s Chief Communications Officer from 2003-2009. He was responsible for developing and directing communications programs that enhanced the profile and visibility of the USOC, NGBs and America’s athletes across multiple media platforms. Seibel oversaw USOC media relations, public relations, education, community outreach and alumni programs, and worked closely with the 2012 and 2016 U.S. Olympic bids.

Seibel initially joined the USOC in 1999 as Associate Director of Media and Public Affairs. In August 2000, Seibel moved to the Colorado Springs Sports Corporation as Chief Operating Officer, where he worked to attract national and international sports organizations and events to the Pikes Peak Region, and enhance business opportunities for an industry that represents more than $150 million in annual economic activity. Seibel also served as Interim President and Chief Executive Officer of the Sports Corp. prior to his return to the USOC in January 2003.

From 1992-99, Seibel served as Director, Media and Public Relations for USA Hockey, and from 1990-92 was Assistant Director, Media and Public Relations for USA Wrestling.

He has been a member of the U.S. Team Media Staff for six Olympic Games (1992, 1994, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008), three Pan American Games (1991, 2003, 2007) and numerous World Championships and World Cups.

Seibel brings more than 20 years of communications experience, working with some of the most visible properties and brands in national and international sports, to the 776 Original Marketing Team.
